¿Qué es Sa Cova?
Un espacio natural ubicado sobre un precioso acantilado de la costa sur, tocado por
la historia, bañado por el mar. Un mirador con espectaculares vistas,
desde donde pueden contemplar el amanecer, la puesta del sol y el embrujo de la luna.
Dispone de diferentes
sesiones durante el día:
·
SESIÓN DIA : Un lugar de ocio donde tomar un aperitivo por la mañana para
todas las edades, especialmente si viene con niños
·
SESIÓN SUNSET : relajarte a media tarde con
música “ambient” recomendado a partir de 18 años
·
SESIÓN DISCO: bailar por la noche sólo para mayores
de edad
Leyenda:
Estos peñascos que el aire marino
perfuma, guardan con su imponente belleza la leyenda de una historia de amor. Xoroi,
hombre de ignoto pasado que llegó por mar, nadie sabe cómo, posiblemente Único
superviviente de algún naufragio, se refugió en la cueva. Las casas de campo de los alrededores sufrían
frecuentes pillajes. De una de estas casas desapareció una bella moza próxima a
casarse. Pasaron meses y años... Nada
más se supo de la joven desaparecida. Un día de invierno, la isla se vistió de
insólita nevada. En la nieve aparecieron pisadas delatadoras. Hombres armados siguiendo las huellas
descendieron a la Cueva. En la gruta encontraron un hombre, una mujer y tres
hijos fruto de su amor. Xoroi, al verse
acorralado e impotente, se lanzó al mar seguido de su hijo mayor. El mar que lo
había traído, se cerró sobre ellos guardando el misterio de su vida. Desconsolados, la mujer y sus dos hijos
fueron trasladados a Alaior donde vivieron y tuvieron descendencia.
¿Dónde se encuentra?
La "Cueva de Xoroi" es
una cueva situada en un acantilado de la costa
sur de la Isla, en la urbanización de Cala en Porter. Para llegar a La Cova
d'en Xoroi desde la carretera general de Mahón a Ciudadela de Menorca hay 2
salidas principales, una en Mahón, la carretera de Mahón a Cala en Porter, y
otra en Alaior, carretera de Alaior a Cala en Porter.

What Sa Cova is?
An impressive natural space
located in a beautiful cliff on the
south coast of the island of Minorca, touched by history and washed by the sea.
A view point with spectacular views,
from where one can contemplate the dawn, the sunset and the spell of the moon.
Sa Cova have a different types of sesión:
- DAY SESSION: In the establishment you could
drink an aperitif in the morning for all ages, specially if you accompanied
with childs
- · SUNSET SESSION: Relaxing sunsets listening to
ambient down music recommended from 18 years on
- · DISCO SESSION: Dance at night only for adults.
Legend
These rocks, scented by the sea
air, guard with their imposing beauty the legend of a love story. Xoroi, a man from an unknown past, came
from the sea, nobody knows how, perhaps the sole survivor from some shipwreck,
and found refuge in the cave. Then, the surrounding houses in the countryside
were often robbed. From one of these houses, a young woman about to be married
disappeared.The months and the years went by... Nothing more was known of the
missing girl.One day in the winter, the island was blanketed by unexpected
snow. In the snow tell tale footprints appeared. Armed men following the
imprints went down into the Cave. There, in the cavern, they found a man, a
woman and three sons, the fruit of their love. Xoroi, on seeing himself
sorrounded and powerless, threw himself into the sea followed by his eldest
son.The sea that had brought him, closed over them both, guarding the mistery
of his life. Inconsolable, the woman and her two sons were taken to Alaior
where they carried on with the rest of their lives, they and their descendents
after them.
Where is located?
The "Cave of Xoroi" is located
on the south coast of the island, in
the urbanization of Cala en Porter. To get to have to get the Mahon main road
to Ciudadela de Menorca. There are 2 main exits, one in Mahón, the road from
Mahón to Cala en Porter, and another in Alaior, from Alaior to Cala en Porter.
